Nobody wants me in my black skin.. So I pray for more melanin.. 

And one day I’ll fade into the night sky

Back to my roots in the sky.. All you’ll see is my smile.. I’ll be an eternal star for a world that rejected me..

A light for those who share similar journeys.

Knowledge of self has brought me to this understanding. 

An endless beautiful being I am.

I’m in the light of my birthright, my right to exist as I am..
